Center
renovation project completed
Community Health Center of Snohomish County’s renovation project at its
clinic at 8609 Evergreen Way in Everett has been completed, adding behavioral
health services and an extra exam room to the facility, which serves more
than 1,200 patients each month.
The renovation, which
was completed by Presidio Construction of Mount Vernon, allows for better
patient flow and patient privacy when checking in and out, the health
center said, adding that an open house will be held at the clinic from
noon to 2 p.m. April 30.
Everett Clinic
receives national honor
The Everett Clinic recently was honored by the American Medical Group
Association with one of three national medical group Preeminence awards.
The awards, which
are given annually, recognize medical groups that exhibit leadership,
innovation and vision; contribute to the advancement of effective health-care
delivery; and contribute to the local community.
The Everett Clinic
was recognized for successful adoption of a patient-centered model of
care as well as for high provider and staff satisfaction results.
“We’re pleased to
be recognized for the importance we place on people,” said Richard Cooper,
the clinic’s chief executive officer. “Our staff and physicians enable
us to do what is best for our patients and add value in our community.
Clinic foundation
donates
more than $25,000 to local groups
The Everett Clinic Foundation gave more than $25,000 during the first
quarter of 2003 to assist community organizations.
Funding went to such
groups as the Assistance League of Everett for Operation School Bell,
Clothes For Kids, the Interfaith Association of Snohomish County’s family
shelter, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the NW Chapter of the
Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, the Salvation Army of Everett,
the Volunteers of America Food Bank and the YMCA.
