Everett chamber — Aug. 9
The Everett Area Chamber of Commerce presents its monthly Good Morning, Everett! membership meeting and networking breakfast at the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel in Everett, 7:30 to 9 a.m. Call 425-438-1487.

Smokey Point chamber — Aug. 14

Snohomish chamber — Aug. 20

Edmonds chamber — Aug. 22
The Greater Edmonds Chamber of Commerce will hold a membership luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Edmonds Yacht Club, located behind Anthony’s. For more information or to reserve a seat, call 425-776-6711. Reservations must be made by Aug. 19.

Benefit auction, garage sale — Aug. 24
August Extravaganza is a benefit auction, garage sale and more for Warm Beach Camps & Conference Center, four miles south of Stanwood at 20800 Marine Drive, to raise funds for camping opportunities for children, teens and adults. The program includes a garage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., a mini-auction from 10 to 10:45 a.m., a silent auction from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and a live auction from 1 to 3 p.m. Items include a rebuilt 1950 Chevy pickup truck, a Peavey electric guitar, a 1952 Dodge pickup, catered dinners and vacations. Estate planning seminar — Sept. 25
United Way of Snohomish County will hold a free “no obligation” seminar on the basics of writing a will and preparing an estate plan from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 25 at the organization’s office, 917 134th St. SW, Suite B-1, in Everett. A panel of local professionals, including an attorney, CPA, financial adviser and trust officer, will review the necessity of a will, strategic planning to preserve assets and how to leave a legacy to one’s community while providing an income for oneself or others. Seminar participants will take home a free resource packet to begin or to supplement their estate planning. Light refreshments will be served. Job fair — Sept. 12
The Snohomish County Job Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 12 at Everett Community College and will include high-tech job openings. Last year, more than 6,500 people attended the fair. Employer booths are still available. Call Betsy Shields, 425-388-9196.

Business trade show — Sept. 27-28
Business Expo 2002, Snohomish County’s largest business trade show, is set for the Everett Mall, a program of the Everett Area Chamber of Commerce, sponsored by Community Transit, Snohomish County PUD, Banner Bank, AHA Computer Solutions, Staples, Compass Health, Everett Mall, The Herald, Everett Community College and Kinko’s.
