Carol Nelson, president and chief executive officer
of Cascade Bank in Everett, has been named to the YWCA of King and Snohomish
County’s board of directors for 2005-06.
Liz Norsby has joined Prime Pacific
Bank as assistant vice president/operations officer at its Lynnwood branch.
Norsby replaces Sally Dickerson, who assumes new duties as administrative
officer. In her new post, Norsby, who has more than 26 years of banking
experience, will oversee operations at both the Lynnwood and Kenmore branches.
Also, Gwynn Krey has joined Prime
Pacific Bank as consumer products officer at its Lynnwood branch. In her
new post, Krey will oversee the development and marketing of consumer
products for both the Lynnwood and Kenmore branches. Krey has more than
30 years of banking experience.
Lisa Shookman has been named assistant
vice president and manager of Cascade Bank’s Crossroads branch in Bellevue.
Shookman has 10 years of experience in financial services, including branch
manager and loan officer positions.
The Bank of Washington, based in Lynnwood,
has hired Larry Houk as the new Eastside Team Leader, responsible
for all business development in that area. He has 20 years of commercial
lending experience and lives with his family in Carnation.
Cascade Bank has promoted Jon Sand,
a life-long resident of Everett, to vice president and senior credit analyst.
He has been a commercial credit analyst for the bank since 2002 and worked
in the financial indus-try for 13 years. Also, the bank named Teresa
Starman vice president and manager of the bank’s Issaquah branch and
Samira Badshah as assistant vice president and manager of Cascade
Bank’s Pine Lake branch in Sammamish.

United Way of Snohomish County has elected the
following members and officers to the board of direc-tors: Matt Reinhard,
president and CEO of Aerospace Manufacturing Technologies, who also serves
as chairman; Rick Cooper, CEO of The Everett Clinic; William
A. Mester, superintendent of the Snohomish School District; Greg
Metcalf, shared services manager at Kimberly-Clark; Jaja Okigwe,
director of opera-tions at LifeWise Assurance Co., a subsidiary of Premera;
Aaron Reardon, Snohomish County Executive; Bob Rommel, contracts
administrator with the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in
Aerospace (SPEEA), represnting salaried employees at the Boeing Co.; Alvin
Schultz, retired form the International Association of Machinists
(IAM), District 751; Eric Schulz, president of Goodrich Aviation
Technical Services; Ed Triezenberg, contracts manager for the Pacific
Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters, and Sharon Wellman, director
of the Tutoring Center at Everett Community College.
Nadine Maychrzak, director of Pregnancy
Aid of Snohomish County in Everett, a 34-year provider of support, services,
maternity clothing and baby needs for mothers who need help, has announced
three new members of the board of directors: Nancy Trautvine of
Stanwood, Eileen Brown of Mill Creek and Michael Westford
of Everett. C.C. Leonard of Lynnwood has been named donor relations
manager at United Way of Snohomish County. Bunny Walters of Marysville
has been named child development manager.
Jennifer Busse has joined the YMCA
of Snohomish County as the teen director for the Everett family branch.
In her new position, Busse will oversee the operation of the Everett teen
tech center, late-night programs and after-school middle school programs.
Busse formerly worked for the Skagit Valley Family YMCA’s teen department.
RETAIL BUSINESS
Anita Weston has been honored with the Professional
Photographers of America, Inc., National Award for her outstanding photography.
Weston and husband Matthew own Fowler Portraits of Edmonds.
REAL ESTATE
Gary Wellman has joined Windermere Real Estate’s
Lake Stevens office as a sales associate. Also, Steve Groves and
John Villesvik have joined Windermere’s Lynnwood office as sales
associates.
Adrienne Hulbert has joined TEAM Rielly
of Everett-based Mortgage Advisory Group as a business development officer.
She previously was a limited practice officer for Escrow Professionals
of Washington.
Mark Hikel,
MILA Inc.’s national sales director, has been promoted to president of
the company and will assume day-to-day management of the firm, while founder
Layne Sapp, as chief executive, will focus on projects to expand
the company. Hikel joined MILA in 2000 as its executive vice president
and national sales director. He previously was executive vice president
at Loraca International. MILA is an e-commerce home mortage provider based
in Mountlake Terrace, with new offices in Lynnwood.
