Laughing Crow Yoga Studio is landing in Everett.

The studio, located at 2221 Everett Ave., Suite 203, will open in early August, offering “all different types of yoga for all levels and all bodies,” said Deb St. Marie, co-owner of the studio along with partners Jane Loura and Margaret Bender.

Yoga, a system of physical exercises and breathing control that has its roots in India, offers physical, psychological and spiritual benefits, said St. Marie, who attributes not only her increased flexibility, body strength and lung capacity to the practice of yoga but also her ability to focus and gain a sense of calm.

“Yoga (incorporates) every level of yourself. It addresses body and mind and spirit, so it’s really a rich experience,” said St. Marie, who has been studying yoga daily for the past six years and has been involved with it in some form for the past two decades.

Classes at Laughing Crow will last between an hour and an hour-and-a-half in length and will begin at 6 a.m., with programs set for lunchtime and early evening as well, to suit busy professionals. That’s the studio’s beginning focus, St. Marie said, with Laughing Crow expected to grow to include senior stretch classes, prenatal classes and workshops with children in the future.
