Inn completes expansion

Herald Business Journal Staff

The Edmonds Harbor Inn recently added 24,000 square feet of space to its existing building, including 33 new guest rooms, a two-story lobby, a breakfast area and a conference room, Operations Director Jan Conner said.

With the expansion, the inn went high-tech, including two-line phones with data ports in the new sleeping rooms and new telecommunications wiring in the conference room for “Internet use during a meeting,” Conner said. The conference room can accommodate as many as 45 people.

Along with data ports, the new sleeping rooms include cable remote television, an individually controlled thermostat, refrigerator, microwave, tea kettle, coffee maker, hair dryer and an iron. Suites feature a sitting area complete with easy chairs and terry robes, and two deluxe rooms include a fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. Room rates range from $79 to $169.

This is the second expansion for the inn, located at 130 W. Dayton, Conner said, and plans are in the works to upgrade the phones in the original wing as well as enhance those guest rooms.
