Hawthorn takes over management of salon

SCBJ Staff

Hawthorn Inn & Suites at Smokey Point expanded its services and marketing packages in November after taking over the ownership and management of the former LePointe Spa, now being promoted as The Spa & Salon at Hawthorn.

“We had an opportunity to purchase the 3-year-old spa and salon from the tenant who was leasing space for it. We saw it as a great time to expand our services by operating the spa under the management of the hotel staff,” said General Manager Susan Nelson, adding that Amy Harris is the spa’s new director.

She said the hotel is developing packages that include overnight stays at the hotel, services at the spa and salon and the use of the hotel’s limousine service.

Nelson described the facility as a full-service, European-style spa offering massages, body buffing, hydrotherapy, facials, body wraps, waxing and microdermabrasion treatments, as well as hair care, makeup services, manicures, pedicures and cosmetic merchandise.
