AWB releases
environmental handbook

The Association of Washington Business and Marten Law Group PLLC recently released the 2006 edition of the Environmental Compliance Handbook, a how-to guide on environmental rights and responsibilities under Washington and federal law.

Leading environmental attorneys and other environmental professionals throughout the state helped with writing the handbook, which includes agency contact information, key statutes and regulations, definitions of key terms and practical tips to assist business owners and environmental managers in understanding their rights and responsibilities, the AWB said.

“AWB’s Environmental Compliance Handbook is a resource no professional should be without,” AWB Governmental Affairs Director Grant Nelson said. “Our contributing authors have done an outstanding job of compiling the environmental laws and programs affecting Washington businesses into one book.”

“The Environmental Compliance Handbook was last published only three years ago, and yet nearly every chapter in it had to be rewritten ... because there have been substantial changes in the law,” Bradley Marten of Marten Law Group said.
