Warm Beach Camp
Lights of Christmas — December

Warm Beach Camp, at 20800 Marine Drive, in Stanwood, will present its 10th annual Lights of Christmas Celebration through the month of December. The event will feature more than 1 million lights in dazzling displays, a larger-than-life Nativity, live music, story-telling, crafts, food, children’s pony rides, draft-horse wagon rides, train rides, a petting farm and more. The Lights of Christmas will run from 5 to 10 p.m. Nov. 30-Dec. 3, Dec. 7-10, 14-17, 19-23, 26-28. Single-night admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and active military, $7 for children ages 4 through 12, and free for children 3 and younger. No reservations are required. Lavender Hills Farm — December
Lavender Hills Farm, 7508 108th St. NE, in Marysville, will be open for the holidays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 24. Local arts and crafts will be for sale along with lavender items. Visitors also can enjoy hot apple-lavender cider and lavender treats. Olympic Ballet Theatre presents
“The Nutcracker” — December

The Olympic Ballet Theatre will perform “The Nutcracker” throughout the month of December in both Edmonds and Everett. The traditional performance, complete with a Christmas tree and Mother Ginger and her Buffoons, will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 2, 3, 16 and 17, and at 7 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., in Edmonds. Tickets are $30 for adults, $24 for seniors and students, and $18 for children 10 and younger. Seating is reserved, and tickets are available from Olympic Ballet Theatre by calling 425-774-7570 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. The ballet organization will perform with the Everett Symphony Orchestra at 2 p.m. Dec. 9 and 10, and at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Everett Civic Auditorium, 2415 Colby Ave., in Everett. Whatcom Symphony Orchestra
holiday concert — Dec. 3

The Whatcom Symphony Orchestra presents its traditional holiday concert, featuring the choirs of Western Washington University, at 3 p.m. Dec. 3 in the Mount Baker Theatre. WSO Conductor Roger Briggs and WWU Choral Director Leslie Guelker-Cone will lead a seamless mosaic of music, which will begin with a brass fanfare and a candle-lit choir processional and end with the traditional “Silent Night.” Tickets for the performance, a fund-raiser for WWU music scholarships, are $30 and $35 and are available at the Mount Baker Theatre ticket office. Programs at Alderwood REI
— Dec. 6 and 13

Alderwood REI in Lynnwood will host a Mountaineers program at 7 p.m. Dec. 6, with attendees learning about outdoor adventures planned for the winter. Alderwood REI will hold Snowshoeing 101 at 7 p.m. Dec. 13, with the free clinic offering information on the basics of selecting snowshoes and the appropriate apparel as well as offering ideas on where to enjoy a snowshoe outing. Sno-King Community Chorale’s
holiday concert — Dec. 16

The Sno-King Community Chorale, under the direction of Frank DeMiero, will present a holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., in Edmonds. The concert will feature traditional seasonal music as well as a presentation of a new musical, “The Magic of Music,” written by Debra DeMiero and Jolinda Creery.
