Sachi Fine Jewelry
adds Everett store

SCBJ Staff

Snohomish-based Sachi Fine Jewelry & Design has expanded into Everett, opening a store in space formerly occupied by Nikolette’s Fine Jewelry on Colby Avenue.

Sachi owner Brad Jorgensen said he hadn’t planned to open a second location, but when he discovered that Nikolette’s was closing in late 2003, he saw it as a good opportunity.

“We figured Everett was on the rebound and that the merchandise we sold and our customer base were a lot like Nikolette’s,” he said, noting that Sachi caters to “those who appreciate service and selection that you don’t find in the chain-type stores.”

Along with custom-designed jewelry, Sachi offers selections from vendors such as A. Jaffe, Bulova and Strellman’s, among others.

Sachi’s Everett store, at 2707 Colby Ave., Suite C, had a soft opening in mid-January, and Jorgensen said plans are under way for a grand opening in February.

Jorgensen plans on employing two at the new location in addition to the five already employed at the Snohomish store, at 1026 First St.
