Boeing Realty Corp. has sold 39.5 acres of “underutilized” land in Mukilteo to real estate developer Harbour Pointe LLC, which plans to subdivide the land into 108 residential lots.

“This is a real win-win for Boeing and Mukilteo,” said Phil Diepenbrock, project manager for Boeing Realty. “Reducing surplus real estate allows Boeing to become more competitive and to invest the capital back into its core businesses and people. At the same time, the sale will provide significant benefits to Snohomish County, helping this area continue to thrive and grow.”

Mike Miller of Harbour Pointe LLC said construction would begin in January 2006.

“As the last significant parcel in the area, this represents an exceptional opportunity for us to have a positive impact on Snohomish County,” Miller said. “The Harbour Pointe site in particular will be a desirable area for families, as the homes will be constructed in a master-planned environment and surrounded by a beautiful green belt and wide open spaces.”

“We are pleased that Boeing has decided to surplus this underutilized asset which finally unlocks the tremendous potential of this undeveloped acreage,” said Mukilteo Mayor Donald Doran.

The site is bordered by Harbour Pointe Boulevard to the north and offers close proximity to many employment centers, including Boeing’s 7E7, 747, 767 and 777 operations plant.
