Rosetta Herald Business Journal Staff The leaders of SonoSite Inc. and Rosetta Inpharmatics Inc. have been named finalists for the Pacific Northwest 2001 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards, which will be announced June 14 at the Seattle Sheraton Hotel and Towers. Stephen Friend, CEO and President of Rosetta, and Kevin M. Goodwin, CEO and President of SonoSite, are finalists in the Health Care category along with H. Stewart Parker, CEO and President of Seattle-based Targeted Genetics Corp, according to a news release. SonoSite, based in Bothell, develops hand-held ultrasound devices. Rosetta, which has facilities in Bothell and Kirkland, deals with “bioinformatics,” a word for the marriage of biology and information technology. In all, 21 finalists in categories ranging from technology to retail are up for the awards. |
