Brian Morse has joined EverTrust Financial Group Inc. as a database manager for the company and its subsidiaries. In his new post, Morse will work to ensure stability of the database system, associated network components and the corporate data of the holding company and its affiliates.

Andrew Cross recently relocated from Michigan to join the Northwest Division of the Hubert Group in Bothell as the new Manager of Business Development. The Hubert Group, a supplier to the aerospace and automotive industries, supports product design, engineering, tool design, tool fabrication, and prototype and production-part manufacturing.

Four Edmonds Community College staff members have been recognized with 2001 Classified Excellence Awards for their service to the college. Recipients are Denise Fridge, Program Coordinator, Families That Work; Vanessa Halverson, Senior Secretary, Business Division Office; Susan Rubio Ortiz, Payroll Supervisor; and Veronica Russell, Human Resources Representative for Compensation.

Kenneth Lako has joined Wells Fargo Private Client Services as Assistant Vice President and Trust Manager in the Everett Trust Department. A former estate-planning attorney, his new duties include assisting clients with estate and financial planning as well as trust management.

Suzanne Ames, Director of Communications for Cascadia Community College, and Bill Rucker, owner of H&L Sports in downtown Everett, have joined the Everett Parks Foundation Board of Directors.

Betsy Shields, Program Manager in the Student Employment Center at Everett Community College, was named the Everett Area Chamber of Commerce Employee of the Year for 2000.

Dick Bennett has joined Windermere Real Estate’s Edmonds office as a sales associate. Bennett previously was a sales associate for Coldwell Banker Bain in Edmonds. Marlena Hurtado, formerly a sales associate for Home Realty, has joined Windermere’s Mill Creek office.

Marilyn Boe has joined HomeStreet Bank as Manager of its new Marysville branch.

Bill Long has been hired as a cruise specialist for Carlson/Mukilteo Travel. Tom Olwell has been hired as group tour specialist for the company.

Debbie Emge has been elected President of the Valley General Hospital Foundation for 2001. Other officers are Vice President Kellie Eickerman, Secretary Vickie Shanks and Treasurer John Hesseltine.

Randy Dutra of Marysville recently completed the New Agent School for Country Companies insurance group and has been named an agent for that group. He serves customers from his office at 909 SE Everett Mall Way and can be reached by phone at 425-290-7871.

Mary Day of Edmonds has joined Network Mortgage Services’ Lynnwood office as a loan originator.

Rob Hallum of Lake Stevens was named the top-producing loan officer in 2000 at the Lynnwood office of Network Mortgage Services.

Kari Dahl has been designated a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor by the Canon Financial Institute. She is Assistant Vice President and Senior Trust Officer for Frontier Bank’s Trust Department.

Tiffany Lock, Mark Dickey, Candi Olson, Val Sheehy, Karen Stitz and Pete Sontra have been promoted by Frontier Bank. Lock is now Assistant Compliance Officer. Dickey is Assistant Vice President for Credit Review. Olson is Assistant Vice President and Operations Officer for Frontier’s downtown Everett office. Sheehy is Assistant Vice President and Manager of Account Services. Stitz is Assistant Vice President and Manager for Central Lending, and Sontra is Vice President and Manager of Private Banking.

Gerald Setka has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Datamarine International of Mountlake Terrace.

Ken McCabe is the new President and Chief Operating Officer of Washington Wine & Beverage Co. of Bothell, makers of Silver Lake wines and Spire Mountain ciders.

Zeda Williams is Acting Assistant General Manager for water resources of the Snohomish County PUD. She replaces Craig Thompson, who retired and took a new job with the CH2M Hill engineering firm.
