AUTO
Brian Frauenholtz has been promoted to vice president of business
development for Dwayne Lane’s Family of Auto Centers. Frauenholtz, who
joined Dwayne Lane’s in 1987, will be focusing on business expansion as
well as facilities, property management and administrative support for
the company’s three dealerships in Arlington and Everett.
BIOTECH
Dr. Robert Hauser has been named to the board of directors of SonoSite
Inc. of Bothell. He is president of the cardiovascular services division
of Abbot Northwestern Hospital.
Jack Schuler has
been appointed to the board of directors of ICOS Corp. in Bothell. He
is a partner in Crabtree Partners, a Chicago venture capital firm, and
the former president and chief operating officer of Abbott Laboratories.
CONSTRUCTION
Peter Orser has been installed as president of the Master Builders
Association of King and Snohomish Counties. He is president of Quadrant
Homes of Bellevue.
ENGINEERING &
ENVIRONMENTAL
Sparling, an electrical engineering and technology consulting firm with
offices in Lynnwood and Seattle, recently promoted Michael Newbury
to principal, and Chris Peterson and Karl Pihl to associates
at its Seattle headquarters.
FINANCIAL
Mark Johnson has been named vice president and business banker
at Cascade Bank. He will be based temporarily in Cascade’s Clearview office
until its new Snohomish branch opens later this year. He worked previously
for insurance and community banking companies. Also, John Nelson has
been appointed vice president and business banker and will be located
at Cascade Bank’s headquarters in downtown Everett. Nelson has 19 years
of experience in financial services, specializing in commercial lending.
He previously worked for both regional and community banks.
Ken Pascoe
has joined Frontier Bank as a vice president and loan officer in the commercial
real estate division. He previously was with Pacific Northwest Bank. Also,
Frontier Bank has promoted the following members of its staff: Bill
Weiand to vice president and commercial loan officer at the bank’s
Evergreen Way office, Dave Dorsey to senior vice president and
manager of the real estate department, Hayley McClellan to loan
support for the real estate department, Duane Eilts to vice president
and manager of account services, Kathy Rose to vice president and
security officer, Julie Davidson to assistant vice president and
loan officer at the bank’s main office, Mary-Ellen Donnellan to
assistant vice president and assistant manager of electronic banking,
and Shelley Paul to assistant vice president and program manager
of the bank’s investment center.
Dan Givens
has been appointed vice president and commercial loan officer at Prime
Pacific Bank’s Kenmore branch, and Chuck Dodd has been appointed
vice president and commercial loan officer at its Lynnwood branch.
HEALTH CARE
Jim Youngquist of Providence Youngquist Pharmacy recently retired
after 45 years. He graduated from the University of Washington School
of Pharmacy in 1959 and started work at Mullen’s Pharmacy in Everett,
which he purchased and renamed Youngquist Pharmacy nine years later. He
sold the business to Providence Everett Medical Center in 2000, and has
continued as a part-time employee at the center.
LAW
Patrick Hussey has become a shareholder in the Anderson Hunter
law firm of Everett.
LUMBER
Bruce Mallory has joined Hampton Affiliates as vice president of
manufacturing. He previously was a leader of the lumber business team
at Louisiana Pacific. The Portland-based company owns Hampton Lumber Mill
in Darrington.
NONPROFITS
The Snohomish County Boys & Girls Clubs recently honored board members,
donors, volunteers and others at its annual dinner and awards banquet.

Linda Shockey
has been appointed the annual giving specialist for Providence General
Foundation. She currently is president of Providence General Children’s
Association and serves on the boards of Providence Everett Medical Center
and Camp Fire Boys and Girls. In her new role, Shockey will be responsible
for donor development and special events management.
REAL ESTATE
Kippie Pasowicz, a real estate agent with Windermere Real Estate
in Lynnwood, recently was awarded the Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation
by the Senior Advantage Real Estate Council. Also, Windermere Real Estate
recently added sales associates to its area offices, including Blake
M. Garfield, previously a sales associate with J&W Marketing in Seattle,
and Elliott Wood, a recent graduate of Central Washington University,
to its Lynnwood office; Bernice Gutman, who had owned IMA Consulting
Group for the past 12 years, to its Mill Creek office; and Andrea Bruns
and Danielle Campbell, both previously sales associates with ERA
in Everett, to its Lake Stevens office.
STORAGE
Lynn Prather recently acquired Everett-based Sound Storage Management
Inc. from Dean Nichols, who will continue with the company as a
consultant. Prather has worked at Sound Storage Management for several
years and is past president and current treasurer of the Washington Self
Storage Association.
