Lockheed sea division plans move to Everett area

Herald Business Journal Staff

EVERETT — Lockheed Martin has announced it will move its Northwest Sea Systems division to the Quadrant I-5 Corporate Park south of Everett.

The division has nearly 20 employees who will relocate from Bothell to the 7,000-square-foot space in the business park adjacent to I-5 on 134th Street SW.

The Sea Systems group, which develops ocean systems and underwater technology, is part of Lockheed Martin’s Naval Electronic and Surveillance Systems. It has contracts with domestic and international military, government and commercial customers, according to a news release.

About a year ago, Lockheed Martin started looking for new space as it outgrew its Bothell quarters on North Creek Parkway. The move should be complete by this month.

Lockheed Martin will occupy part of the second building in the business park, which is also home to Reid Middleton, Premera Blue Cross and State Farm. About 15,000 square feet are still available for lease in the 71,000-square-foot structure, said Deborah Frausto of Quadrant.
