Retailing giant Wal-Mart
opened its second store in Snohomish County on April 18, at the Tulalip
Tribes’ new Quil Ceda Village business park northwest of Marysville, kicking
things off with an $8,000 donation to various community groups.
The new store, the
anchor tenant for the Tulalip Tribes Quil Ceda Village business park,
is located at 8924 Quilceda Blvd., adjacent to I-5 at the 88th Street
NE exit west of Marysville. It will be open from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Monday through Saturday and start up an hour later on Sunday.
The first Wal-Mart
store in the county opened in Lynnwood in 1999 at 164th Street SE and
I-5.
The new Marysville
store, the 27th in the state, will employ about 300 people, managed by
Rayellen Johnson. Covering nearly 150,000 square feet, the store is designed
as a one-stop shopping center.
