Flying Pig nixes
brewery
The Flying Pig Brewing Co. in downtown Everett has stopped brewing its
ales as owner Joel Starr pursues a second area location for a new restaurant
concept. Starr said that due to state regulations that require all licensed
operations of a brewery owner to be breweries, he decided to close down
brewery operations before opening a second eatery. Instead, the former
brewery space is being remodeled to increase The Flying Pig’s dining capacity.
Remodeling got under way in April and is expected to be completed in mid-May.
The restaurant will remain open and operating during the project, Starr
said.
