Yolanda “Charlie” Martinez recently was hired as AVP and Office Manager for the new Horizon Bank office in Lynnwood, which is expected to open during the first half of 2002. She has more than 20 years of banking experience, the last 15 of which have been in management.

Lynn Dicus has been named Executive Director of Chateau Pacific, a retirement community located in north Lynnwood. He brings more than 25 years of experience to his new post, having directed operations at several retirement living communities in Washington state.

The Edmonds Community College Board of Trustees has elected Alison W. Sing as its board Chair for 2001-2002, and Mary Helen Roberts has been chosen as this year’s Vice Chair.

Michael B. Severns, has been promoted to principal of Sparling, an electrical engineering and technology consulting firm with offices in Lynnwood and Seattle. Severns, who joined the company in 2000 as its director of health-care technology, will now manage the firm’s two technology consulting studios.

Eric T. Overton has been named Chief Operating Officer of Sparling. In this newly created position, Overton will oversee firmwide operations, including project delivery, marketing, business development and client satisfaction. Having joined Sparling in 1985, Overton became a principal in 1994 and a Vice President in 1997.

John L. Scott’s Lynnwood office has added seven new real estate agents: Carrie Lindau, Tarise Sachet, Sandi Davis, Richard Henkens, John Mueller, Brian Burke and Char Blankenship.

John Edwards is the new Community Service Representative for Old Country Buffet in Lynnwood. Edwards was formerly the General Manager of the Lynnwood Landmark Inn.

Jeanne Conley has been appointed Human Resources Manager for Cascade Bank’s 14 offices. Conley has 13 years of human resource experience, including working in the banking industry for the past nine years. She recently returned to the Puget Sound region after living in Spokane.

Bernadette Duffy, previously a real estate agent with RE2K.com, has joined Windermere Real Estate’s Lynnwood office as a sales associate, and Kathy Pasowicz, formerly a sales manager with System One Technologies of Seattle, also has joined the office as a sales associate.

Matt Nystrom has been promoted to Director of Group Sales and Information Systems for the Everett AquaSox baseball team. He will oversee development of the team’s Web site and sales for group outings, picnics and fund-raisers.

Daniel M. Wolk has been promoted to Vice President of Bianco Properties, which recently acquired the 70,000-square-foot Lynnwood Plaza and has other real estate holdings in the Puget Sound area. Wolk will continue to direct acquisitions and development activity for the Missouri-based company while assuming additional responsibilities as a company officer.

Gordon McFadden has been elected to HomeStreet Bank’s Board of Directors.

Oy Tautscher has joined EvergreenBank as a Personal Financial Representative for its Lynnwood branch. She has 18 years of banking experience, with the past six years spent in business and consumer banking in Lynnwood.

Debra Chapman has been promoted to loan officer at Irwin Mortgage’s Everett retail branch.

Bill Holden is the new Customer Service Manager and Jason McDaniel is the new Chief Estimator for HCI Steel Building Systems of Arlington.

Dan Russell of Snohomish is a new agent at Country Insurance & Financial Services at 909 SE Everett Mall Way, Suite B-250, Everett.

Snohomish County Executive Bob Drewel was co-leader of a recent Greater Seattle Trade Development Alliance trade and business mission in Germany and Central Europe.

Katherine Corbett of Edmonds has received an Open Door Education Foundation information technology scholarship. She is a student at the University of Washington-Bothell.
