Certified public accountants Heather L. Clark and Kimberly C. Ng have been promoted to senior accountants at Everett-based Hascal, Sjoholm & Co. PS.

Certified public accountant Becky Mackenstadt has been promoted to manager, and Suzanne Thornock has been promoted to supervisor at Vine Dahlen & Co. of Lynnwood. Kimberly Fyfe, a recent Central Washington University graduate with a master’s in professional accounting, has joined the company as a staff accountant.

Tony R. Kastens has joined Barclays North Inc., a land development and construction company located in Everett, as the company’s president.

Mike Finn has been named to head up sales for HCI Steel Building System Inc.’s new self-storage division, and Vladimir Ivanov has joined HCI’s engineering staff.

Dan Stone has been appointed to manage sales efforts for Puget Sound Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology’s Information Technology Professional Development Division. His chief responsibility will be to develop corporate relationships for the private, nonprofit training center.

Tana Hasart has been named interim director of student affairs for the University of Washington, Bothell. Previously president of Clark College in Vancouver, Wash., Hasart will be responsible for UWB’s advising and recruitment, admissions and registration, financial aid and student development. She also will have oversight of student government and the student newspaper, The Commons.

Jerry J. Franklin has joined Reid Middleton as the survey group manager. Formerly with Entranco Engineers Inc., Franklin will be responsible for managing survey operations, supervising project work and marketing Reid Middleton’s survey services. Kylie Yamatsuka recently was promoted to senior engineer at Reid Middleton. Adina Prisecaru, a senior structural engineer at Reid Middleton, recently passed the Structural Engineering 1 exam and received her Civil Engineering Professional Engineer license for Washington state.

Rich Perteet, 59, founder of Perteet Engineering Inc. of Everett, recently moved from company president to board chairman. Kevin Weed, a 12-year employee, has been named Perteet’s new president. Also at the company, Crystal Donner has been promoted to executive vice president; Joel Birchman has been named vice president for business development; and Peter De Boldt has been promoted to transportation design director.

Michael Shafer has joined Sparling as a principal leading the Audio/Visual/Broadcast studio. Shafer has more than 18 years of experience in A/V design and project management. His areas of expertise include corporate facilities, health care, museums, universities and libraries.

Hart Crowser has hired Grace Vigil as Marketing Coordinator for the Port & Harbor group. Formerly with Reid Middleton, Vigil has four years of industry marketing experience.

Rene Johnson, a mortgage consultant who specializes in helping first-time and experienced homebuyers through the loan process, has joined Phoenix Savings Bank.

Eric Cumley, an investment representative with Edward Jones in Everett, has been selected to join PLANCO’s 2002 Captain’s Club. PLANCO, a wholesaler of investment and insurance products, distinguishes representatives who produce more than $1 million in sales in a calendar year with the Captain’s Club membership.

Peggy Dougherty has been appointed to the position of personal banking officer at Coastal Community Bank. In her new role, Dougherty, who had been serving as a new-account representative, will now supervise that department.

James Hicks has been appointed president of Cascade Investment Services, a subsidiary of Cascade Bank. He has more than 17 years of investment experience, most recently as vice president of operations for a local broker. Ginny Bryant has been appointed branch manager and assistant vice president of Cascade Bank’s Lake Stevens office. Bryant has 10 years of banking experience, including direct branch management of a Lynnwood branch. Turi Jess has been appointed branch manager and vice president of Cascade Bank’s Issaquah office. Jess has 21 years of retail banking experience. Kate Maloney has been appointed branch manager and assistant vice president of Cascade Bank’s Bellevue office. Maloney has 28 years of retail banking experience.

Duane Edwards has joined Frontier Bank as vice president in the bank’s private banking office. Edwards, who has more than 20 years of experience as a business banker, most recently was a commercial loan officer with Cascade Bank in Marysville.

Dr. Ann Marie Lee has joined The Everett Clinic’s Endocrinology Department, and Dr. David Dickey has joined its Internal Medicine Department at Silver Lake. Lee received her medical degree from the University of South Florida and completed her residency at Mercer University. Dickey received his medical degree from New York Medical College. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.

Ron Bettencourt of Cascade Rehabilitation’s Harbour Pointe clinic and Beth Greaves and Jaime Ablutz of Cascade’s Silver Lake clinic recently passed the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist examination. Barb Gish of Cascade’s Colby clinic and Holly Gramse of Cascade’s Harbour Pointe clinic recently earned certification augmented soft-tissue mobilization treatment.

Physical therapist Marla Crago has joined Summit Rehabilitation’s Snohomish clinic. Crago’s special interests include wound care, manual therapy for headaches and cervical dysfunction, vestibular rehabilitation, and prosthetic training. Crago recently earned certification for augmented soft-tissue mobilization treatment, as did Jeff Waldron and Cheryl Robinson of Summit’s Sultan clinic.

Cynthia Zotti has been appointed general manager of PJ Sound Pizza LLC’s new Papa John’s Pizza location in Lake Stevens. She previously was the general manager of the Marysville Papa John’s. Prior to joining Papa John’s, Zotti worked at Food Service of America and The Keg.

Fred Safstrom, director of the Everett Public Facilities District, was re-elected chairperson of the Board of Trustees for the YMCA of Snohomish County for 2002-2003. Serving with him as vice-chairs are Mike Zubovic, vice president of finance and computer information systems, Goodrich Inc. and Brenda Baltrusch, senior vice president of private client services, Wells Fargo/Ragen MacKenzie. Treasurer is Jim Sporrong, regional manager for business analysis, Verizon Communications. Secretary is John Haskell, vice president, Sullivan & Curtis, and the immediate past chair is Rick Cooper, CEO, The Everett Clinic.

Windermere Real Estate has added 10 new sales associates to its county offices: Steve Lantz has joined the Lake Stevens office; Duncan Fletcher and Cheryl Killen have joined the Monroe office; Sue Bowles, Charles B. Taber, Hank Monteiro and Jim Wold have joined the Mukilteo office; Hal Snow has joined the Lynnwood office; and Michael Profitt and Christy Crissinger have joined the Mill Creek office.

John L. Scott Real Estate has added three new real estate agents to its Snohomish County offices: Cathy Steiner has joined John L. Scott’s Lynnwood office; Thomas Nguyen has joined the Lynnwood West office; and Michael Dayton has joined the Monroe office.
