The Vintage at Everett offers a major new luxury residence for active, independent, retirement-age seniors, a multimillion-dollar, 259-unit apartment complex overlooking the Snohomish River Valley and Cascade Mountains.

Open since July, the new senior community already has more than 50 residents.

Manager Martha Allred said she expects all of the units to be filled within a year.

Stretching for more than a block along East Marine View Drive in northeast Everett, The Vintage has 547-square-foot one-bedroom units and two-bedroom units with just over 700 square feet, including a living room and dining area.

The residences are priced at $625 and $825 per month for one- and two-bedroom units, with 12-month leases and deposits. Small pets are welcome.

Each unit has its own kitchen, new appliances, spacious interiors, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, washer and dryer.

There are wide hallways decorated with a variety of framed artwork throughout the seven-floor building. The entrance is at the fifth-floor level because the large building is built on a slope.

“It’s a maintenance-free living facility,” Allred said. “It has controlled access entrances, elevators, covered parking and downtown shopping only 10 minutes away.”

The Vintage is designed for socializing, providing a social room with a fireplace and common-area kitchen. There’s also an arts and crafts room, beauty salon, exercise room, billiard room, indoor pool and Jacuzzi.

“People get to know each other here because there’s a lot to do,” Allred said. “We even have a ‘home’ theater with cushioned seats and a 74-inch wall screen. We have movie nights regularly.

“In the social rooms we play bingo and other games. There’s even a mini-mart and snack bar. The Red Hat Society meets here, and families — including children and grandchildren — are welcome here. Card playing is particularly popular, including Canasta and poker,” she said.

There are many common areas for relaxing and visiting, as well as a large dining room where families can gather for meals or celebrations together, she said, and in the back, the complex has two major courtyards with gazebos.

“There are even box gardens for those who miss working with soil and plants, and we have areas where residents can plant roses or grow other flowers, so they can enjoy doing that and it beautifies the grounds, too,” Allred said.

The Vintage at Everett was built by Myan Management Group of Dallas, Texas, developer of Vintage at Bremerton, Burien, Sequim, Mount Vernon and Vancouver. Within two years, the Vintage at Lynnwood will be completed, offering new senior living residences in south Snohomish County, Allred said.
