Frank McCord, Chairman and CEO of Cascade Financial Corp., received the Alexis de Tocqueville Award at last month’s United Way of Snohomish County Alexis de Tocqueville event. The award recognizes McCord’s “commitment to community service,” according to a United Way news release. Such commitment has included chairing campaigns for organizations such as Volunteers of America, Bethany Foundation, United Way of Snohomish County and Housing Hope.

Aaron Hoy has joined Pacific Northwest Bank as a residential lending officer at the bank’s Alderwood Financial Center. He will be responsible for residential lending activities throughout Snohomish County.

John McClellan has joined Perteet Engineering Inc. as a Senior Project Manager and Peter De Boldt has joined Perteet as a Senior Project Manager for Transportation Design.

Richard Toyer, President of Toyer & Associates CPAs Inc. PS of Everett and a registered representative of Terra Securities Corp., recently received an outstanding service award from the GE Independent Accountants Network.

Karen Hume, Rachel Park and Miranda Prescott have been named to the advisory board for the Association of Visitor Information Centers of Washington. Park and Prescott are members of the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau. Hume is an independent member.

Scott Katz, John Podreberac and Marcus Requa have joined Irwin Mortgage Corp. of Everett as loan officers.

Marcus Lee has joined Systems Interface Inc.’s Bothell office as a project engineer.

Cascade Financial Corp.’s Board of Directors has nominated Craig G. Skotdal, President of Skotdal Real Estate, to serve a three-year term as a director of the company. The election of directors will be held at the annual meeting of shareholders on Oct. 16.

Rick Resseguie of Brier has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Bank of America.

Randa Awad has been hired as an engineer with Reid Middleton’s surface transportation group in Everett.

Greg Dietl has been named General Manager of the Bothell SpringHill Suites by Marriott. Previously, Dietl was the General Manager of the Comfort Inn & Suites in Bothell.

Michelle Clyborne and Ron Clyborne have joined Windermere Real Estate’s Lynnwood office as sales associates. Sales associate Laurie Clark has joined Windermere’s Mill Creek office, and sales associate Maryke Burgess has joined the Lake Stevens office. Paul Schonberg has joined Windermere’s Stanwood office as an associate broker.

Cascade Rehabilitation Associates has two new physical therapists, one transfer and three on staff who recently passed the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist exam. Andrew Emerson has joined Cascade’s downtown Everett Clinic, and Holly Gramse has joined the downtown Everett and Harbour Pointe clinics. Physical therapist Ron Bettencourt, previously at the downtown Everett clinic, has transferred to the Harbour Pointe clinic. He can be reached at 425- 493-8313. Tae Ho Lee, an exercise physiologist at Cascade’s Silver Lake clinic; Jennifer Wright, a certified athletic trainer at the Harbour Point clinic; and Tim McTee, a certified athletic trainer at the Smokey Point clinic, have passed the CSCS exam.

Mary Case and Glenn C. Wattum, certified public accountants with the Moss Adams LLP Everett office, have been admitted to the partnership. Case, who began her public accounting career with Moss Adams in 1988, joined the Everett office in 1997. She serves as the firmwide leader for the Not-For-Profit Services Group. Wattum has been with the Moss Adams Everett office for nine years. His primary practice is in the area of cost segregation, a specialized tax planning service. He also assists clients in a broad range of tax transactions.

Curtis Hecla has joined North County Bank’s board of directors. Hecla, an Arlington native, is currently involved with developing industrial real estate in the county with a group of local investors.

Cheryl Robinson, who holds a master’s of physical therapy from the University of Colorado, has joined Summit Rehabilitation in its Sultan clinic. With experience as a staff therapist and clinic manager at outpatient orthopedic and rehabilitation clinics in the Northwest, Robinson has a special interest in pregnancy and postpartum musculoskeletal dysfunction as well as sports injuries in children.

Paul Inghram has been named Senior Planner at Berryman & Henigar in Seattle. He previously was with David Nemens Associates, where he provided city planner services for Sultan.

Photographer Carl Murray of Everett has been hired by The American Legion to take photos at a private reception for President Bush during the legion’s annual convention.

Michele Sabol has been appointed Branch Manager of Cascade Bank’s Evergreen Way office in Everett.
