ACCOUNTING
Mark Salama and Bonnie Styles recently were promoted to
senior accountant positions at Hascal, Sjoholm & Co. PS of Everett. Both
have been with the firm since 2000. Salama is a graduate of Seattle University,
and Styles is a graduate of Central Washington University.
BIOTECH
Eric Dobmeier has been promoted vice president of corporate affairs
at Seattle Genetics in Bothell. He remains general counsel for the company,
which he joined in 2002.
ELECTRONICS
Michael Sheehan is the new vice president of business development
for MicroPlanet Ltd. of Edmonds. He formerly was manager of engineering
and application for Puget Sound Energy, and spent a decade with the U.S.
Department of Energy. MicroPlanet manufactures and sells voltage regulation
products that reduce the amount of electricity needed by businesses and
homes.
Arthur Homa has
been named vice president of engineering for Bothell-based Neah Power
Systems Inc. He will direct all engineering and research and development
activities for the company, which is working on micro fuel cells that
could power laptop computers and other electronic devices. Homa’s experience
includes positions at General Electric and Rayovac.
ENGINEERING &
ENVIRONMENTAL
George Newman, Triad Associates’ director of planning, recently
was appointed vice chair of the 2004 Snohomish County Developer Builder
Issues Committee of the Master Builders Association. He will use his planning
experience in Snohomish County to help developers, builders and consultants
address land development issues in Snohomish County. Also, Mark Keller
has joined Triad Associates as a project engineer. He has 14 years of
experience, having worked at Washington state’s Department of Transportation
and on the Issaquah Major Development Review Team. Rebecca Cushman,
who has seven years of industry experience, has been promoted to project
engineer at Triad. She is working on Shamrock, a low-impact development
project for CamWest Development, and Trilogy at Redmond Ridge, a master-planned
community for Quadrant Homes/Shea Homes.
Claudia Kuniholm,
corporate accounting manager for North Creek Analytical Inc., has earned
the national designation of Credit Business Associate. She has been a
member of the National Association of Credit Management for the past four
years.
FINANCIAL
Eric Carlsen has been appointed executive vice president and chief
credit officer at Prime Pacific Bank of Lynnwood. Carlsen, who joined
Prime Pacific in May, had been chief lending officer and senior vice president.
Prior to that he was the credit administrator for Frontier Bank.
Brian Berkenhoff
recently completed the third and final exam leading to a Chartered Financial
Analyst designation. He is a senior portfolio manager with Harbour Investment
Management in Everett.
Deborah Rice
has joined the Everett office of First Heritage Bank. An expert on Small
Business Administration loans, Rice was one of the top SBA lenders in
Utah and also focused on making loans to women-owned businesses.
Corey Charboneau
of Wells Fargo’s Lake Stevens office recently completed a 100-hour training
program and passed a daylong exam to earn a Series 7 license. Issued by
the National Association of Securities Dealers, a Series 7 license enables
Charboneau to give investment advice and sell stocks, bonds and mutual
funds. A Lake Stevens resident, Charboneau has worked for Wells Fargo
for four years.
Eric Cumley,
an investment representative with Edward Jones in Everett, has earned
membership into PLANCO’s 2003 Captain’s Club for producing more than $1
million in sales in a calendar year.
Scott Suchan
has been promoted to senior vice president and Western regional manager
of Frontier Bank. Suchan, most recently senior vice president and manager
of Frontier’s Evergreen Way office, has spent 17 years in banking, the
past six of those at Frontier. Marilyn Hanan-hoover has been promoted
to senior vice president and manager of Frontier’s Evergreen Way office.
She formerly was the manager of the Marysville office and has 28 years
of banking experience, 10 of them with Frontier. Robin Reinig is
the new vice president and manager of Frontier’s Marysville office. Formerly
the manager of the bank’s Smokey Point office, Reinig has worked in the
banking industry for 20 years. She joined Frontier in 1996. David Sato
has been named vice president and manager of Frontier’s Smokey Point office.
Sato has 22 years of banking experience in the commercial lending area
and spent the past four years as vice president and loan officer for Frontier’s
Marysville office. Hazel Larson has been promoted to loan support
officer at Frontier’s Smokey Point office. She has been with Frontier
for more than 15 years, working in lending for the past six years.
HEALTH CARE
Dr. K. Andrew Hurst has joined the Community Health Center of Snohomish
County as its medical director. He previously worked for the Indian Health
Service on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
Brian Tardif,
a certified athletic trainer, has joined Murphy’s Corner Physical
Therapy, part of Integrated Rehabilitation Group, an independently owned
outpatient physical therapy group serving greater Snohomish County.
Dr. William Finley
has joined The Everett Clinic’s General Surgery department team. Finley,
who grew up in Everett, earned his medical degree from the University
of Washington and has been completing advanced training in surgical oncology
at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York. Also, R. Ronan
Murphy and Michael P. Millie have joined The Everett Clinic.
Murphy joins the neurology department and Millie will be a general surgeon
at the Medical Office Building.
MANUFACTURING
Bob May has joined Applied Technical Services Corp. of Bothell
as vice president of operations. May has more than 20 years of management
experience in companies that design, manufacture, and market electronics
and medical devices. Also, Kim Myers has been promoted to president
at Applied Technical Services. Joining the company as its director of
operations in July 2001, Myers’ career spans 39 years in electronic design
and manufacturing.
REAL ESTATE
Joni Straub has joined Windermere Real Estate’s Mukilteo office
as a sales associate. Straub previously was employed with the Mukilteo
School District.
Dave Cuthill
recently joined OPUS Northwest LLC as a real estate director. His responsibilities
include heading up retail development opportunities in the Pacific Northwest.
Cuthill’s previous retail real estate experience includes being a divisional
vice president with Nordstrom Inc. He also is a certified public accountant
and an attorney.
