North County Bank to grow with Marysville branch

Herald Business Journal Staff

North County Bank plans to break ground on a Marysville branch office next month, doubling its presence in the area it serves.

A two-story building, one of two to be located on a lot just south of Skipper’s Seafood & Chowder House on State Avenue, will house the bank as well as up to four other tenants on the first floor with apartments on the second floor, bank President Jack Myles said. The bank will take up about 2,550 square feet of space.

Jubie Construction of Marysville will be the general contractor on the project. The estimated cost of the project was unknown as of press time.

“We’ll probably lease the space; we won’t own the building,” Myles said, adding that a few of the bank’s directors likely will own the facility.

Earlier this year, the bank moved into its permanent headquarters at 16419 Smokey Point Blvd. in the Smokey Point neighborhood of Arlington.
