Marcia Lynn Kindig has joined Countrywide Home Loans of Everett as a Home Loan Consultant.

Larry Fransson, President of Sound Tractor of Everett, attended a recent meeting of the Kubota Tractor Corp. as a member of its National Dealer Advisory Board, which annually presents its top 10 recommendations for improvements to the company’s executive management.

Michael Klein has been appointed Residential Lending Officer at Pacific Northwest Bank’s Everett Financial Center.

Rep. Kirk Pearson, R-Monroe, has joined the Everett Community College Foundation board, which oversees the foundation’s primary duties of acquiring funds for student scholarships and other campus needs. Pearson’s term on the board is for four years.

Lori Wehl, a jeweler at Ben Bridge in the Everett Mall, has earned diamond and diamond-grading certification from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and jeweler Cheri Snider has earned certification as a Registered Jeweler.

Leslie “Pat” Thomas is the new Director of Sales for Best Western Cascadia Inn in downtown Everett.

Britt Hiatt has joined Harmsen & Associates of Monroe as a planner. Kevin Teague has joined the firm as a landscape architect.

John V. Meno, an Investment Representative at Edward Jones’ Arlington office, recently won three company awards: the 2000 Winner’s Circle Award, the Century Award for outstanding performance and the Jack Phelan Award for outstanding sales and service.

Hawthorn Inn & Suites General Manager Susan Bacon has named Markeyla Eaglin the Assistant General Manager and has appointed Jackie Wilkins to Sales Manager of the Smokey Point-area hotel and conference facility.

Lisa Hamrick has joined Windermere Real Estate’s Mill Creek office as a sales associate; Mike Simpson has joined the Lake Stevens office as a sales associate; and Gina Ewing has joined the Mukilteo office as a sales associate.

Ron Funk and Dick Padovan have been named Vice Presidents and Commercial Loan Officers with Coastal Community Bank’s community banking unit. Jan Lumsden has been appointed Loan Operations Office, and Alice Baldwin has been named Funds Management Assistant. All four will work at Coastal’s downtown Everett office.

Steven J. Crawford, a south Everett dentist, recently received the Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry, a nonprofit organization of general dentists committed to continuing dental education.

Mary T. Decker, certified as both a public accountant and financial planner, has become a shareholder and member of the board of Hascal, Sjoholm & Co., an Everett CPA firm. She has been with the firm since 1997 and most recently served as tax manager.

Bruce Strand is the new Business Banker and Vice President at Cascade Bank’s Evergreen Way office. He has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington and also graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School.

Leslie Somes has been named Manager of the Snohomish Banking Center of Bank of America.

Loree A. Carlisle has been named a principal of EverTrust Asset Management Office in Seattle. She is one of eight investment officers in the new venture, opened recently by Everett-based EverTrust Financial Group, which also has banking facilities in Tacoma, Bellevue and throughout Snohomish County.

Penelope E. Troth has been named the new Branch Manager of EverTrust’s Lake Stevens branch. Troth has more than 15 years of banking experience, including sales, mortgage loan and investment expertise.

John Dickson, Executive Vice President of Everett-based Frontier Bank, is the new Treasurer of the Washington Bankers Association. Founded in 1889, the association represents 75 banks with combined assets exceeding $46 billion.

Becky Foster of Bruce and Becky’s Interiors at Smokey Point has been honored with a Paul Harris Fellow Award from the Marysville Noon Rotary Club in recognition of her community service involvement.

Everett Community College’s first Firefighter I class recently graduated in ceremonies held in the Jackson Center. Graduates include Phillip Childs and Craig Milless of Marysville, Edward Mahrt of Bothell, Dane Norris and Larri Werner of Snohomish, Geoffrey Olson and Jeffrey Onzay of Seattle, Michelle Peck of Lynnwood, Micah Scudder of Edmonds and Eric Wheeler of Mukilteo. Onzay was valedictorian.
