Everett Events Center moves sponsorship, suite sales in-house

SCBJ Staff

On the heels of recent industry recognition, the Everett Public Facilities District, owner of the Everett Events Center, has moved all sponsorship, suite and club seat sales in-house, with the marketing department taking responsibility of the sales process, the district said.

Since opening last fall, the downtown Everett facility, with a 10,000-seat arena and adjacent conference center, has been ranked No. 2 in the world for like-sized venues by trade publication Venues Today and No. 6 in the world by Billboard Magazine based on gross ticket sales.

In taking on sales responsibilities, Global Spectrum, managing company for the center, has named Matt Martin corporate sales manager. He will be responsible for sponsorship sales and premium seating sales. Martin most recently was director of sales for Bakersfield Sports and Entertainment in Bakersfield, Ohio.

Responsibilities also have been added to Global Spectrum’s director of marketing and sales, Eric Blankenship, and director of sales, Adam Gesacion, said Kim Bedier, general manager of the center.
