First-round schedule, plus reader poll

Posted at 9:43 am by Nick Patterson

Tough loss for the Tips last night as, with a chance at finishing first in the U.S. Division and Western Conference, Everett fell 3-2 at Spokane. The Tips finished the season with the second-best record in the conference and take the No. 3 seed to the playoffs, as B.C. Division champion Vancouver automatically earned the No. 2 seed for the first round despite a worse record.

As the No. 3 seed Everett faces No. 6 Kelowna in the first round. Here's the first-round schedule:

Kelowna at Everett, Friday, March 19, 7:35
Kelowna at Everett, Saturday, March 20, 7:05
Everett at Kelowna, Tuesday, March 23, 7:00
Everett at Kelowna, Wednesday, March 24, 7:00
Kelowna at Everett, Friday, March 26, 7:35
Everett at Kelowna, Saturday, March 27, 7:00
Kelowna at Everett, Monday, March 29, 7:05

Everett finished the season 46-21-3-2, Kelowna finished 35-31-2-4. Everett won the season series 4-1. Kelowna is the defending league champion and is now healthy after an injury-plagued season.

So it's prediction time:
